About CCSN

The Critical care society of Nigeria is a non-profit, non-governmental association comprising of all anaesthetists and other physicians who are involved/interested in Critical Care Medicine (CCM). As a society we will integrate stakeholders in critical care medicine including nurses with the aim of improving best practices and patent care. The executive committee lead by Dr A Sanusi, is keen on establishing the society and ensuring the international community is aware of the growth of critical care in Nigeria. We are affiliated to the world Federation Society of Intensive and Critical Care Medicine.

Conference Aims & Objectives

Educate Members

This conference aims to educate our members and the medical community about the obstacles which we face while delivering critical care and the ways to mitigate these challenges.

Help Clinicians

We also aim to help clinicians interested in setting up units to evaluate the costs and asses the benefits of the units to their communities.


The first day of the conference will be a workshop which will teach participants how to insert arterial and central lines and how to monitor invasive blood pressure and central venous pressure. The other arm of the workshop will focus on mechanical ventilation. Conference fees
